EPO Launches Clean-Energy Platform to Support Researchers
Ahead of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27), the EPO launched a new Clean Energy platform designed to support researchers and decision-makers involved in the race for clean-energy technologies that contribute to the UN SDGs.
The platform provides an initial selection of some 60 ready-made smart patent information searches to help scientists, engineers and decision-makers find and build upon existing green tech solutions with greater ease.

Green Technology Book 2022
The Green Technology Book was launched by WIPO at the recent COP27 summit in Sharm el-Sheikh. This resource presents a range of innovative green technologies that provide solutions to some of the ever-pressing climate change dangers. The solutions are organized in relation to three sectors, which are the focus of the book: agriculture and forestry, the water sector, and cities. Acceleration Project 2021: Finding Ways to Valorize Palm Oil Waste in Indonesia
WIPO GREEN launched its Acceleration Project 2021, targeting a major source of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the South-East Asian region: palm oil. In collaboration with Winrock International – a US-based environmental NGO with established expertise in sustainable palm oil production in Indonesia – WIPO GREEN aims to make green technology solutions for Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) treatment and valorization readily available to palm oil mills.
